Your rights - important info for immigrants in Iceland

The Directorate of Equality publishes the pamphlet Your Rights, which contains important information for immigrants in Iceland. The pamphlet is published in Icelandic, English, Polish, Spanish, Thai, Russian, Arabic and French. It discusses the rights of people in Iceland when it comes to close relationships and communication, for example marriage, cohabitation, divorce and separation, pregnancy, maternity protection, abortion, child custody, access rights, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, prostitution, complaints to the police , gift attendance and residence permit. There you can also find references to further information about assistance, such as telephone numbers, addresses and websites of various institutions and associations.
